FragStars is an online gaming league with cash prizes. The term "Frag" is primarily used by the army when they kill or wound an enemy. It is also used by professional gamers.
- How can I start playing on FragStars?

All you need to do is register an account! Once you have registered, select the game you want to compete in from the drop-down box. Click JOIN and follow the steps.
- Do I have to pay to play on FragStars?

You do not have to pay to play in all of our leagues/tournaments. Amateur leagues are free and professional leagues have an entry-fee.
- Is FragStars International?

Currently FragStars is a North-American gaming league only because of currency and time-zone issues. In the future we may open up a European and Australian gaming section.
- Does FragStars have an age limit?

We prefer that you be at least 15 years of age to enter into any of our leagues or tournaments. It's impossible for us to actually know a participants actual age, so there's no way for us to enforce an age rule. We ask that you follow the ESRB laws respectively.
- How do the tournaments on FragStars work?

If you are part of a DeathMatch tournament, you won't have to commit to a seasonal league. DeathMatch tournaments take place once a week, on a certain night (check your games schedules page). You'll go up against 10 - 20 other gamers for cash. Each week you'll play a different map, and you might fight a totally different crowd of gamers depending on who chooses to sign up that week!
- How do the leagues on FragStars work?

If you are part of a team-oriented leauge, (example: 5 vs 5 Capture the Flag), then you and your team will go through 1 week of pre-season, 8 weeks of regular season and if you make playoffs they will last 2 - 4 weeks. You will play one match per week on a specific week day (each game has a different day). If your team makes it into the playoffs, then you'll have the option of moving up to a more advanced division next season with the other teams that made it into the playoffs. The winner of each league takes home the grand prize.
- Does FragStars provide servers to play on?

Every game that FragStars supports has a DeathMatch server in it for DeathMatch tournaments. This server is open to the public 6 days a week to practice on, and on match night it is passworded for the tournament. If you are part of a DeathMatch tournament, the server information will be posted on the Schedules page. All of our servers are located in the center of the United States: Chicago, IL. FragStars does not host servers for teams to play on. Teams must have their own servers or agree on a server to play on by match night.
- What does FragStars do to prevent cheating?

It's impossible to stop cheating in any PC game. FragStars takes strong measures to preventing cheating in our leagues and tournaments. Our AC (Anti-Cheat) team has years of experience, and knows what to look for when it comes to Wallhackers, Aimbots, No-Recoil and other known cheats. FragStars.com has top notch anti-cheat software that can be used in all of the games we support.
- Can I play in more than one league/tournament?

You can enter your team in one league per game during a season. After the season ends, you may enter your team again. If your team plays multiple gametypes in the same game, you can participate in those gametypes as well. You can also enter yourself in as many DeathMatch tournaments in every game once a week.
- How does FragStars know who wins/loses?

Once you have finished your match, you will need to go back to the website and report the results. Depending on the league/tournament, you'll have to enter the score and upload a screenshot of the match. False reporting will get you or your team suspended.
- Can I quit my team and join another team?

You can quit the team you are playing for and join a new team at any time BEFORE the rosters lock. The rosters lock to prevent people from joining and switching teams at the end of a season. Rosters usually lock 4 weeks into the tournament. After that, you will have to stay on the team you joined or not participate at all.
- Does FragStars offer refunds?

FragStars does NOT offer refunds once you have joined a league/tournament UNLESS there are not enough teams/players to conduct the event.
- How can I work for FragStars?

If you are interested in volunteering to be an admin on FragStars, please see our Contact page on the bottom of the site. From there, you can apply to be an admin. We'll review your application and get back to you as soon as possible. We are always looking for quality head admins and anti-cheat admins. Admins get forum moderator status, they can post news and they will get rewarded for their hard work over time.
